1. Scope #

This Privacy Policy explains how RunRoute processes information when you use the app.

2. Information We Process #

RunRoute is designed as a client-only app (no user accounts and no backend profile service). The app processes:

1. Location Data:
- Precise location while using the app in foreground.
- Background location during an active tracking session (when permitted by you) to maintain route and distance accuracy.

2. Activity Data:
- Session history, route points, distance, duration, pace, and related activity metrics.

3. Settings and Preferences:
- App preferences such as theme, units, notification choices, and retention settings.

4. Diagnostic Data:
- Crash diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics when enabled in the app build.

3. How We Use Information #

We use processed information to:
1. Track activities and show route and history insights.
2. Generate and save route data.
3. Improve stability and troubleshoot crashes.
4. Apply your chosen settings, reminders, and retention preferences.

4. Storage and Data Architecture #

1. Primary storage is local to your device.
2. RunRoute does not require account creation.
3. RunRoute does not operate a backend for storing your activity history.

5. Third-Party Services #

RunRoute may interact with:
1. Google Maps Platform (for map and route features).
2. Firebase Crashlytics (for crash reporting, when configured in the app).

If additional services are introduced (for example, analytics), this policy will be updated before or at rollout.

6. Data Sharing #

1. We do not sell your personal data.
2. We do not share your activity history with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Limited service-provider processing may occur as required for map requests or crash diagnostics.

7. Retention and Deletion #

1. You can configure activity retention in the app.
2. You can clear app data from within the app using "Clear All Data".
3. You can request assistance via support@duodev.in.

8. Children and Age Considerations #

RunRoute is not restricted to adults only. If you are below the age at which parental consent is required in your region, use of the app must be authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

9. Your Choices #

You may:
1. Grant or deny location permissions.
2. Stop activity tracking at any time.
3. Adjust retention settings.
4. Clear local data in-app.

11. Policy Updates #

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. Updated versions will include a revised "Last Updated" date.
