Delete your Cazhoo account and data

1. Introduction #
Cazhoo is made by Duo Dev Technologies. You sign in to Cazhoo with a Duo Dev account, which you may also use for other Duo Dev products. You can delete your Cazhoo data on its own, or your Cazhoo data and then your whole Duo Dev account (which deletes the Cazhoo data too). No payment or subscription is involved: Cazhoo is free.
2. Option 1: delete your Cazhoo account and data #
This deletes everything you keep in Cazhoo: wallets, transactions, receipts, budgets, borrows, EMI loans, splits, friends, people, reminders, notifications, reports, support tickets, and your sign-in and activity records. Your Duo Dev account stays, so you can keep using other Duo Dev products.
1. Go to https://cazhoo.duodev.in/account-settings?tab=delete and sign in with your Duo Dev account. In the Cazhoo app, Profile → Delete account opens your account settings on the website; then choose the Delete Account tab.
2. On the Delete Account tab, select Delete Account Permanently and confirm.
3. You may be asked to sign in again to confirm it is you; then select the button once more.
Your Cazhoo data is deleted from our servers right away and can't be recovered. Copies in our backups are deleted within 30 days. To also remove the data stored on your phone, sign out of the Cazhoo app or uninstall it.
Kept: friends you shared splits or borrows with keep their own records and history (such as their own transactions and notifications that mention you); the shared records themselves are removed from their apps.
1. Go to https://cazhoo.duodev.in/account-settings?tab=delete and sign in with your Duo Dev account. In the Cazhoo app, Profile → Delete account opens your account settings on the website; then choose the Delete Account tab.
2. On the Delete Account tab, select Delete Account Permanently and confirm.

3. Option 2: delete your whole Duo Dev account #
This deletes your Duo Dev account and, with it, your data in Duo Dev products, Cazhoo included: everything listed in Option 1. You are signed out of all Duo Dev products.
1. Go to https://accounts.duodev.in/settings and sign in.
2. In the Delete account card, select Delete account….
3. Choose a waiting period (7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days), enter your password, type `DELETE MY ACCOUNT` and select Delete my account.
Your Duo Dev account is deactivated at once. When the waiting period ends, it is deleted for good and Cazhoo deletes your Cazhoo data at the same time. To change your mind, sign in before then: the deletion is cancelled and your Cazhoo data stays. If you want your Cazhoo data gone at once, do Option 1 first. If you signed up with Google or another linked account and never set a password, first set one with Forgot password on the sign-in page (https://accounts.duodev.in/forgot-password). If you are the only owner of a workspace that has other members or apps, transfer or close the workspace first.
