1. Who can use Cazhoo

These terms are an agreement between you and Duo Dev Technologies, India ("Duo Dev", "we", "us"), for the use of Cazhoo: the website https://cazhoo.duodev.in, the Cazhoo app for Android and the Cazhoo API (together, "Cazhoo"). Please read them with the Cazhoo Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

By creating an account, signing in or using Cazhoo, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use Cazhoo.

- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you.
- You use Cazhoo for yourself, to keep your own personal finance records. If you use it on behalf of someone else, you must have their permission.

2. Your Duo Dev account

- You sign in to Cazhoo with a Duo Dev account (https://accounts.duodev.in), using your email and password, a passkey, or Google (or another linked account where the sign-in page offers it). The Duo Dev Accounts terms at https://legal.duodev.in/products/dd-auth/terms-of-service also apply to your Duo Dev account.
- Keep your password, passkeys, devices and email account secure. We recommend turning on two-step verification. You are responsible for what is done with your account until you tell us that it has been misused.
- Give accurate account details and keep your email address up to date: we use it for security and service messages.

3. The service

- Cazhoo helps you record and understand your own money: wallets, income and expenses, transfers, budgets, money lent and borrowed, EMI loans, bill splits with friends, receipts, reminders and reports.
- Cazhoo is currently free. No subscription fees, no hidden charges and no ads. We may introduce paid features in the future; we will tell you in advance, and nothing you use for free today becomes paid without your agreement.
- We keep improving Cazhoo and may add, change or remove features. When a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
- The Android app works offline and syncs when it is online. If the same record is changed on two devices before they sync, Cazhoo keeps one version according to its sync rules; check important changes after syncing.

4. Cazhoo is a tracking tool, not a financial service

Important: Cazhoo is a financial tracking tool, not a financial advisor, bank or payment service.

- We do not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Data and calculations (balances, budgets, interest, EMI schedules, reports, insights) are for your information only and depend on what you enter.
- Consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on Cazhoo.
- Cazhoo does not move money. It makes no payments, transfers, loans or investments, and holds no money for you. Loans, EMIs and borrows in Cazhoo are records you keep about arrangements you made elsewhere. EMI auto-pay only records the installment as paid in your Cazhoo wallet on its due date; it does not pay your lender. UPI IDs you add are shown to friends as text so they can pay you with their own app.
- Cazhoo is not connected to your bank, card or UPI accounts and does not read them.

5. Your content

- What you put into Cazhoo (records, notes, receipts, names of people, support messages) remains yours.
- You allow us to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide Cazhoo to you and to the people you share it with, and as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You are responsible for your content: it must be lawful, and you must have the right to add it. Only add other people's names, email addresses or UPI IDs when they would expect it, and don't upload documents with other people's sensitive information unless you have the right to.
- Keep your own copies of anything important; you can export your data from the website's reports at any time.

6. Friends and sharing

- When you add friends, split bills or sync borrows, the other person sees the details of that shared record (Privacy Policy, section 5). Share only what you are happy for them to see.
- Splits and borrows between friends are records to help you settle up. Any money owed is a matter between you and the other person; Duo Dev is not a party to it and does not collect or guarantee it.
- Don't use invitations, friend requests or shared records to spam, harass or deceive anyone. You can remove friends and block users.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

- break the law, or use Cazhoo for fraud, money laundering or any other illegal purpose;
- access other people's accounts or data without permission, or try to get around Cazhoo's security, limits or sign-in;
- probe, scan, overload or disrupt Cazhoo or its servers, or use automated means to access it other than through the Cazhoo API as documented;
- copy, sell or resell Cazhoo, or reverse engineer it except as the law allows;
- upload malware or content that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with anyone.

8. Apps and the Cazhoo API

- You can let apps made by other developers use your Cazhoo data through the Cazhoo API. They get only the permissions you approve on the Duo Dev Accounts consent screen, and you can withdraw them at any time in Duo Dev Accounts under Authorized apps. Those apps are provided by their developers under their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.
- Developers who use the Cazhoo API must follow its documentation (https://cazhoo.duodev.in/api/docs), use only the data a user authorized for the purpose the user expects, keep webhook secrets and tokens confidential, and respect the rate limits. We may suspend an app that breaks these rules or puts users at risk.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep Cazhoo available and your data safe, but Cazhoo may sometimes be unavailable (maintenance, updates, problems with our providers or the internet). For help, use Support in the app or on the website, or write to support@duodev.in.

10. Ending your use of Cazhoo

- You can stop using Cazhoo and delete your Cazhoo account at any time (Privacy Policy, section 12). Deleting it removes your Cazhoo data and cannot be undone.
- We may suspend or close your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or Cazhoo. Unless the law or security prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
- If we ever stop offering Cazhoo, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance so that you can export your data.

11. Disclaimers

Cazhoo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that Cazhoo will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that its calculations suit your situation. Check important figures against your bank or lender's records.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, savings or opportunities, arising from your use of Cazhoo or from decisions based on it;
- we are not liable for losses caused by apps you authorize, by other users, or by events outside our reasonable control;
- our total liability to you for any claim about Cazhoo is limited to INR 1,000 (because Cazhoo is free).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.

13. Indemnity

If you use Cazhoo unlawfully or break these terms and that leads to a claim against Duo Dev by someone else, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first (section 16) so that we can try to solve the problem. If we can't, the courts at Salem, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We publish every new version with its effective date at https://legal.duodev.in/products/cazhoo/terms-of-service. If a change is important, we ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and you can't use Cazhoo under the new terms until you do. If you don't accept, you can export your data and delete your account. Version 2.0 is such a change: sign-in now goes through Duo Dev accounts (email and password, passkeys or Google) instead of Google only, and these terms now cover the Android app, sharing with friends, the Cazhoo API and connected apps.
